Called in a coyote

clarkston,wa.
I was walking the woods today, camera in hand. Sorry,no elk today, but i saw a coyote in the distance. So I sat down in the shade and called him with a CrittrCall (an open reed call sounding like a wounded rabbit). He pinpointed me instantly, expecting an easy meal.He was about 75 yards away.
He was coming in fast so I barked to stop him.He looked around for the other coyote.Would he share this meal,or run off the competition?
I had to zoom out to get the last photo, and when I looked up he was 20 feet away! And he looked like he was going to jump in my lap! So I waved at him,but he couldn't figure out what I was. He didn't want to leave,so I went for my gun. Didn't have to shoot and I got the photos I wanted!

Goodness :) He really is a beautiful animal ! We have them now in North Carolina , they are rather brave souls and do not scare easily.

All of Gods creatures are really cool to see in nature... I appreciate them.

But them Yotes are no good. No good at'all.

Whata great picture though!!

Great shot. Every coyote I have ever seen was usually in high gear and impossible to get a shot with a camera. I did get a shot at one two years ago, but with a rifle. It was chasing a deer and is now on my wall in the form of a coyote rug.

Super nice shot JD. As a matter of fact, I like it so much, I'm going to do a pencil sketch of it eventually. Hope you don't mind me using your pic.
