This is my grandpa's machine. My mom is sending it to me and I would love to know more about it I've read as many other post about it as I could find and I'm excited to get it lol the biggest question I have is can I use it like a normal land machine because I live in wyoming lol not many beaches here. Thanks guy looking forward to y'alls input!

Awesome machine. It’s a VLF machine which will suited for land, lake, and beaches (to an extend). There is no indicator depth but you have learn listen to the 3 tones of the metal and decide worth digging. At first I thought it was Pulse induction, soon remember your one is VLF technology. Happy hunting and Best luck [emoji1303]

Yes you can use it on land, use to own one and it is a good detector, especially on land. It is a good beach detector too but the coil is buoyant and you have to constantly fight to keep it down or add weight to the coil, I did s0 by making a small sand bag that I velcro on the coil shaft when in the water.

Got it today and found my first clad in my back yard 2012 dime that I most likely dropped lol. I've got some spots in going to try tomorrow before winter starts up again. I know of some ghost rail road towns not too fat away that burnt down I'm excited. Also been thinking would it be worth it to trade my BHID for a land unit? Is there any advantage at all besides the weight of the unit (It's not that heavy really) is it better than the bounty hunter land tracker pro?
