Agree with Simon...

This is the front grillwork of a 1940 Pontiac Sport Coupe.

Thanks SD51.
After I posted, I started to search for the year and when I came back to edit it on my post, you had beaten me by a full 30 minutes. :notworthy:

Finding them is fun. They used to dump old cars on our river bank to help slow erosion. I remember like it was yesterday that I saw the front right quarter of a black 57 Chevy poking up out of the mud and water, the emblem on the fender just below the crossed flags it said " Fuel Injection ". Sometimes I wonder if it is still there and what it would be worth, as well as how much of the car itself is there. :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

Sorry I had hijacked your thread here Gilligan.

Thanks for all the great replies! My son and I went in the forest near our home to explore an old house the map showed was there. When we reached the area which was overgrown with vines, we found an (Pontiac apparently) old car up on it's side, encased in thick vines. Rooting around the inside of the car, my son found the emblem. We had a blast.

That chrome is worth a few bucks.
