Thanks all for the kind words on the original forum question. I am sad to say that, for my update, my soul mate of 50 years passed away @ 2:30 last Friday afternoon, surrounded by family. She will be sorely missed. Yes! I have a dog, a lot of friends and of course the great people of T-Net. I will survive, this also!!

Hey Bob, sorry to hear about that. I did note you changed that from 'survive alone' to 'live alone'. Change of mindset implied. Take care.

So sorry to read this, Bob. I would imagine that you and I are both about the same age. I'm generally up most nights until quite late so don't be a stranger if you need to talk with someone in the wee hours of the morning. Bob, I have some experience in grief counseling, and I extend that you along with my friendship. If you'd like my phone number, backchannel me and I'll get it to you. Blessings and best regards to you Bob, along with my sincere sympathy in the loss of your wife.

This is something we all will face, we all have our time.
My daughter told me while she was researching our family tree...
"You know.. our loved ones are really never gone if remembered!".

very sorry for your loss. what's important is the memories that's left, as a person never dies as long as there are people who remember them.
