DON'T TELL HIM!!!

:laughing9: To late Dano if it is in the white mountains, i detected there a few years ago. Didnt find much ,just alot of trash and a few clad. alot of young growth around it plus its near the secondary highway maybe 30 feet from the pavement. so my guess is the top soil was stripped away in the vicinity of it for fill while building the highway. If it isnt it,its so close to be its twin.

No, it's not near there. It's not anywhere even close to NH.

Millions of years old! (well...the stones are, lol).
Problem with these stone fireplaces is that they could have been built in 1776...or last week. Really hard to tell unless you know it's style and era used, but i'll go with 1860's.

I know it there was a home there in 1871. That's as far back as I can go with it.
