Obviously it’s a coin very bad condition, under a magnifying glass I think I see 65 or 66 numbers, I no it’s hard to see, give it a shot , thanks

Shield nickel- 1866 to 1883 same size as a nick. also possible 2 Cent, which is larger than a nick

Appreciate your good eyes, sorry about poor photos, I did try to clean with peroxide, vinegar even if it wasn’t the best idea but it was impossible to see under microscope, so your guess is a shield nickel, I see a shield of sorts. Briefly I found by our shenango dam area park by a what is now a cut field over 1 foot deep with my whites dfx dinosaur machine. Thanks

It appears to be a heavily corroded and pitted Copper coin, so I am going to say that it is likely a 2 Cent piece. However, I could be totally wrong! Diameter and composition and possibly the weight will give you the answer (2 Cent diameter 23.00 mm...95% Copper and 5% Tin and Zinc...weight 6.22 grams and the Shield Nickel diameter 20.50 mm...75% Copper and 25% Nickel...weight 5.0 grams).
