Where are the GPAA claims in California?!? I've asked numerous people on numerous forums but the best answer I get is, "oh, there are a bunch in Northern Ca"...

If there are any within 2 hours of me, (stockton, ca) I'd get a membership, but I don't really wanna spend the membership fee without knowing what I'm getting access to.

Is there some kind of membership requirement about not giving a straight answer? I'm not asking for latitude and longitude, but something like "20 minutes from coloma" or "right outside pyramid lake" would be infinitely helpful.

Thank you:BangHead:

probably because my 03 guide has over 80 pages of claims for Cali..

please hold on i'll see if i can find any. may take a little awhile

just remember this is a 11 year old Claims Guide.

I don't know how GPAA Works if they own or Lease,
if they ever get rid of claims, or if they got others since.

I didn't look through my Updates,
since I'm not even sure where they are

Find a member in your area and go have a look at the book....Copy what interest you...

The GPAA claims guide is several inches thick! Claimes may be added or deleated every month or so in the GPAA claims bulletin. There is also a GPAA mag. There are also treasure listings in the back of the guide.
Join for a year and try it out, kind of a test drive. I am a life member. Been to many of the claims and outings.
Each listing has directions with GPS listed. It also tells what type of gold you can expect to find, like nuggets, fine gold etc. If you get the life membership, there is no additional cost for life. Hay the mag alone is worth that if you join while young. Just my biased 'lol' thoughts. frank...

I agree with Frank. If you're really interested in prospecting, join the group. You'll pick up a lot of useful information and will receive membership cards that give you permission to be on their claims.

Except that would be illegal. Mining claims are property and if you aren't a member, then prospecting on one will be mineral theft. There is a reason people don't give out club claim locations.

Correction. Looking at the book even copying the info would not be Illegal.

You can even Buy Claims guides on Ebay on occasion.

Claim Jumping and going there without being a member or at least an
official Invite from a Member would be illegal.

Thank you for clarifying, I was talking about going to the claim, not seeing the info.

Does the GPAA not have a website with updated information ? If not I'm kind of amazed actually - I guess I'll google search it and see
what comes up - Be right back atcha !

(ok go to goldprospectors.org ) register for free (I tried and wasn't able to - but I'm pretty ignorant with
computer stuff - they didn't like my password /username or some such )

No, they don't publish any claim information online.

LOL the GPAA site is "Sad" At best

Of course members may see more

HERE'S A THOUGHT! A Member is allowed to take one guest with him to a claim. If you can find a member in your location that is willing you can see what it is like. Frank...111-1 profile.jpg
