Hi Fellow
I got two maps where I like to start to detect this summer. One is a "no looking good" beach where folks nearby tell stories about William Kidd and his treasures.
The other pic is about a wood just right behind where I live. This forest is owned by the county, and it has a peculiarity. The strange thing about this forest is that it seems as if it were haunted. You can hear voices that come from time to time, voices that sound like a cavalry general giving orders and intoning patriotic phrases.???????????? I have heard them from 50 feet away and anywhere in the forest.

Please, dowse inside the red line.

The thing is that I need the great help that you here have given me in the past.
Thank you and God bless you.

However, where you marked with yellow circle is in the middle of the road. Tyler Rd.

But the cross is the treasure, make zoom to see it
Treasure its near the road but not over it

Yes, you're right, but do you have an idea where those voices coming? it is every time I detect that zone

Well, that can be a big metal deposit or a cemetery
Let me check around the area you marked with color red

Yes, something big close the buildings

This area seems to be something about it (site). Beach photo close to your red line (but outside it in the water).

Brown is probably old ship debris, green more archaeological, red metallic targets. Good targets from red line to red circle.

Time to do a little digging myself, thanks to AI.

Captain Kidd's Treasure:
  • In 1923, the company of Morrisey and Walker created the concept of a resort community in Cliffwood Beach, with summer bungalows complementing the emerging resorts of the Jersey shoreline. The real estate sales offices of Morrisey and Walker were even designed in the appearance of a pirate ship, as an homage to the lore of Captain Kidd and his treasure and Treasure Lake in Cliffwood Beach.
  • There were two large elm trees, one at the mouth of Matawan Creek and the other on Fox Hill, known as Kidd's Rangers, which were used as markers for Captain Kidd to relocate his buried treasure. Cliffwood Beach sits at the center of these landmarks, and even today, people are found digging around the beach's shores and dunes in the hopes of discovering Kidd's hidden treasure. Some gold and silver Spanish doubloons have even been found.
  • Just inland from Cliffwood Beach is a small body of water once called Duck Pond, but now known as Treasure Lake, where some additional gold coins were found. To this day, people occasionally search for treasure at Cliffwood Beach using shovels and metal detectors, and some tiny bits of gold and silver are still found.
Historical Significance:
  • Cliffwood Beach was a top Jersey Shore resort from the Roaring Twenties until the mid-1950s, featuring a mile-long boardwalk, a casino with live shows, upscale restaurants, and a sports complex with the region's only 50-meter saltwater pool. The Country Club Casino was built along the cliff walk, overlooking Treasure Lake, and the area was frequented by Olympic medalists George Kojak and Johnny Weissmuller.
Local Legends and Speculation:
  • There is a legend of an elderly man that lived in a rough-hewn cabin on the coast of Cliffwood Beach, adding to the mystique and allure of the area.
In summary, Cliffwood Beach in New Jersey is steeped in treasure stories, particularly those associated with the legendary pirate Captain Kidd. The lore of buried treasure and the historical significance of the area as a top resort destination have contributed to the enduring fascination with Cliffwood Beach's treasure tales.

That rock that you indicated maybe is located inside that forbidden area. However, I didn´t see any large rock, but a rock that you can see in those pics.

I added a red circle to woods map above (which now has green circle, might only be loose silver).
