My friend found this really nice rock on a trail and i was wondering if you could identify it.

Welcome to tnet, that's agate/chalcedony but more on the agate side because of the banding, an absolutely beautiful blue color to, almost a smurf blue, I'd love to see it wet or with clear hand sanitizer gel to get an idea of it polished, I find some blues like that out at my agate spot but very rarely, I can't seem to find the source to it but its beautiful smurf blue like that. Awesome find! :icon_thumleft:

Thank you very much, here is a photo of the rock after my friend washed it.
She found it on a trail in the Romanian Carpathians.

I love that botryoidal smurf blue you have in the vug there, I might still have one lying around, I'll take a look around and post it here if I find one but again cool specimen.

Here's a couple small ones I found that need a bit of dremel cleaning with small bits but they have that same blue. 20200603_045255.jpg
