I say #1. Its too perfect. And a knapper would have tried to incorporate that red streak into the point.

Are you going to flip them over and take a new pick when you reveal the answer?

Here is the flip side, lets see what that does to your thought pattern. When I tell the answer I will talk about feeling a point and other ways people try to judge on artifacts8-) other side 001.JPG

A close look can show whether or not metal was used for pressure flaking and punching.
I'm sure you've heard of the "taste test." For acid.

Well I say # 5 because of the reduction sideways on the base and the notching looks wrong. But hey I am scared of items unless I see them on the ground now days.
Fun post.

I suspect #4 is the fake. The reason I am guessing #4 is because it has much more of a perfect delta shape than the others.

Good pics, but nothing like having them in your hands...every one could be fake...3, 2, 4, I'll guess 3.

I say number 3.

It looks too broad and chunky. Not streamlined enough for flight.

Flintknappers today are very good, but sometimes in the quest for a quick buck they cut corners. The original flintknappers would be concerned with flight and penetration.

It would be funny if all of them were or none of them are. There is that possibility.
