I got 2 boxes of halves today. The first box had 1-90%er and the silver coin from Dominican republic.

The second box had 1-64, 2-90%ers and a coin from 1848.

You can't see the date in the picture, but it's on the reverse side under a 10 in the center.

I can't find anything online about either of them. Can anyone shed some light on these?

When the Dominican Republic was making silver coinage for circulation, they made their coinage to the exact same size and metal content as the US. They even went as far as making a billon 5 centavos coin in 1944. Another Latin American country that made their coinage to the same silver composition was Cuba (before Castro took over). Lastly Panama has and still does make their coinage as the US since 1929. Then again the exchange rate is still identical on the Panamanian Balboa to the US Dollar and Dollars circulate more their than Balboas.
Lastly, lots of these mentioned coins have lower mintages than their US counterparts and ironically less demand hence lower pricing.
