Canadian Coin 1873 - 1973

I had a slow day today, only one memorial penny and a interesting Canadian quarter.
It seems to be a commemorative coin from 1973, does anyone know if its silver?

It's nickel. The value to that coin is in the number of beads near the border. If 120, then it's 'common'. If 132, then you have a valuable coin; maybe $100 if in MS-60 or better.
