Canadian dime without year (UPDATE)

Hello all. New member here with a quick question.

Has anyone ever seen a Canadian dime without a year printed on it? On my second hunt ever just last week I dug up a silver
Canadian dime. I got it home and cleaned it up a little and to my surprise there isn't a year to be found. Even under a stereo
microscope, I cannot see a trace of a year. Any ideas?

I will try and upload a photo soon.

Date was on the reverse from 1858 through the 20th century.

It is a modern looking dime but it sounds different when dropped. I assumed it has more silver content. I will try and upload photos before the end of today.

Check it with a magnet. If it doesn't stick it's silver.

OK, not silver. Sticks to a magnet. Was there a dime minted without a year?

I got a couple photos done up.

I had a chance to do a little more research and found out that this is a 50th Anniversary - Succession of Queen Elizabeth II dime. Released in 2002.
The reason I can't find the year is because it is on the obverse side, now covered in corrosion. Not an old coin.
Cheers!

Looks like someone obliterated the date with a drift punch.
