EBay has an option now after a few days of nonpayment that says you can cancel the order for nonpayment. I've been opening cases anyway because I want to make sure the buyer gets a strike, even if that doesn't do anything to them really. Any idea if the cancellation gives the buyer a supposed strike also?

No, but I only sold 1 thing on Ebay in 2021 and have stopped due to the new terms and conditions. In 2022 the IRS will have Ebay, Etsy, Paypal, Venmo ALL OF THEM send you a 1099-K on gross sales over $600.00. I can't afford my accountant so I'm done buying for the most part and selling 100%. You could sell your old piece of junk car for $600 and get a tax form for it!

You've been able to file a complaint with Ebay against non paying bidders for a few years. Just use buy it now with immediate payment and no problem.

Okay, so now I don't have the option to open a NPB case, only the option to cancel for nonpayment, and it says nothing about that being put on the buyers account, just that the buyer will be notified. If they don't have any reason at all to even consider punishing a buyer for not paying, then it's only going to get worse. Easy fix for buy it nows, requiring immediate payment, but I sell probably 75% of my listings through best offer.:BangHead:
