Crews were dredging the river. Instead of muck, they pulled up three cannons and a mystery.

Great read we were there at the mouth of the river where it begins at Tybee Island. The dredges were operating just west of Whitmarsh Island. Moving towards Savannah the river path has to forts Fort Schevin and Fort Jackson which were used to defend the port of Savannah. I believe Jackson is the older
