Did you ever make it out to the Rosin? I've been doing some research to find the identity. Here is some of the info I've collected.

Here are a few links to some newspaper articles from the Wilmington Star back in 1923, and the ships deck plans. I’ve also included a map of the search from the CG cutter Modoc who responded to the call and found lumber. The CG reported a hard NE wind with swells from the north which coincides with the search pattern. Some info I received from Norway states the Runa was carrying resin that it picked up from Savannah.

Based on some papers I got from a Norwegian maritime museum, the Runa was 250 ft long, 34 ft wide with a boiler that measured 14 ft in diameter and 11.5 ft long. The measurements I got last weekend were 255 ft long, 36 ft wide and the boiler was 14 ft in diameter and 12 ft long. Close enough for me to think the Rosin wreck is the Runa.

Does anyone on the board know of any additional info on the Rosin or Runa?
