A 1954 dog tag too! I'm very tired, marathon hunts, good company and good weather. We have been blessed so far. Jackalope's last day on the east coast is tomorrow, we waited out the rain by driving to the shore so he could take a dip in the Atlantic ocean. I'm going to let him chime in, I believe he is doing his post from his phone.
Enjoy the pix

That's a Jackalope out in that hay field hard at work, lol

Edit/update, forgot to include my neglected buckles and the bell I found also. Thanks for looking

Resized_20161229_233207.jpg

Edit/update, I just came in from digging in the dirt/trash pile in the back of my CRV and found these things, lol
There is one mystery item that I dug last night at that hay field, the hour glass shaped thing in front. If anyone could ID that, I swear it has silver wash on it most of which I rubbed off, lol

I've been looking at those old maps, there are three places I'm thinking of starting, two of them I've never been to?

I have big shoulders, I did mean that in amazement, for as long as I have been doing this (three years) I have not found as many coppers as I have this season. It just amazes me. I have enjoyed your help and encouragement, wish you had more time and could come down.

Nice finds! Have you happened upon that elusive (Treble Gilt) button yet?

Thanks, no, in my many hours of hunting I have managed only a few of them.

Thx bud. Being your friend is a pleasure. If January stays warm, I'll make a trip down.

That said, you are slaying the copper this year for sure. Not to mention colonial finds in general. Wow!

Once again, it sure is nice to see you boys having fun and digging some keepers.

JZL1's flying eagles and shield nickel are very nice old finds. Word of advice for JZL1, keep those silver Rosies close, or Scrappy will buy coffee with them!

I hope tomorrow is an epic day for you both!

Hi treble; Cape May is where I went for Boot Camp. I was in the Coast Guard there. I went on to spend 23 years at sea. I loved it. I had to respond when you said Cape May. Lord that brings back memories. I did some patying in WildWood there as well. Tanks for the memories. Nice finds. PEACE:RONB
