Carter Cemetery

The old Carter Cemetery on top of a mountain, in the Busiek State Park. It's a long hike to the top, really mountainous terrain, and no good path to get up there.

You cant hunt it...just thought you might want to see it

Re: Carter Cemetery

You're right, it's probably about 2 or 3 miles hard up there... on either path. I think there's an even longer third path as well.
I hiked up there and walked around, looking at all the old tombstones. They're straight up out of any Halloween scene you've ever seen... leaning and cracked. There were alot of Goodhue family members buried there as well.
My favorite inscription said, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." Goodhue 1835-1902
Talk about a Legacy...

P.S. Did you hike up there recently, or did you find the pic online??
