Isn't it a shame that shoe buckles were so easily broken. I find 20 or 30 pieces for every whole one. Still I like to see them even if they're broken. It means I'm on an early site and good finds are possible!

At least you got out today James and you didn't get skunked. ;D What is the round piece in the middle left? I assume it is a button of some kind since you said you didn't get any coins. I've had a lot of hunts where I would have been thrilled to take home what you have posted. I guess that is why they call it treasure hunting and not treasure finding. :laughing7:

Hey :hello: great digs! Theres a coin around there somewhere.. more than likely a nice KGII halfpenny or farthing.. maybe a couple clipped silvers out there... those babies can hit all over the meter so dig it all! ttys man Jeff

I hope there is! the site just down from this one netted me my best copper ever a 1794 Large cent XF details I dig everything at these sites even big iron :D

that's a nice one for VA... I tell ya, I haven't gotten over a large cent earlier than 1818 down here :dontknow: I have gotten an 1808 and 1809 half cent but the earlier US coppers just don't show up for some reason
