Hunted a few sites, cellar holes and wagon trails, I did find my first half dime today, and my first loupe, :happysmiley:
also found these 2 buttons, one seems to be a NY cuff button, the flat button im thinking navy.
the seated was only about 4 inches down in a small roadway clearing. I did find a plated gold band yesterday, but forgot to dig it out for the pics, also found a musket ball and a few buckles.
thanks and enjoy,
Pro

Another good cellar hole hunt. Pretty early seated, the old silver is eluding me so far this year. Hope you can get specific ID's on those buttons:cool:

First button looks like a very early Navy one, probably around 1820s, Are there thirteen five pointed stars on it? Can you read anything on the back? Second one is a New York state seal button. Again, anything on the back? The Navy button is a real nice find.
