Was able to get out for a hr after work and tried to shift the trash pit I've been digging but was to muddy. Did three sifters full and got two pieces of a pipe bowl and a stem, a bone handled pocket knife and got a small celt. Did get one button and some saw blade looking piece on way back to car.

Pretty good for a short hunt knives are always cool Well done

That celt is great! Do you think someone found it previously and tossed it in the trash pit or is there an Indian site there too? Gary

im thinking they may have thrown it in the pit, it was in the ash layer with everything else and have seen no other indian artifacts at all. but it is high ground along the river so cant be a 100 percent sure.

Glad to see you got out. What is that item next to the "rowel" looking thing?
