Has anyone ever found that cement comes up as a target? It always shows as a coin or bottle cap why?
I am new at MD and it seems that there is an old side walk or something in my back yard. I have been digging everything that shows up, just to learn about the machine (ACE 250). And I have read on this sight that gold rings show as pull tabs. Any help would be appreciated.

Cement has rebar, or wiremesh, in it for increased strength. Gold rings are from foil up through the pulltab range and, for some of the big ones, even higher. Silver rings show up in the general coin range.

Yes the rebar is probably what is setting your machine off, but it could also be something under the cement or next to it. But I'd bet on the rebar like Beep says.
