I've been using one for about 8-9 months, only problem was the tip came off, put it back on with a poly sealant which also waterproofed it. Maybe not the best out there but it does what I need of it. Gets 1 1/2 - 2" depth. Bought the others for a spare and a gift.

I have had one for over a year, great tool for the price.

Do yourself a favor and get a can of plasti-dip and coat the sensor rod.

It will take care of the tip coming off and be more rugged and waterproof.

I Plasti-dipped the whole thing and then just cut out around the battery door. But thats just me.

I got one of these recently and it works pretty well. It's a wicked deal for $15. I got the last one on the shelf! If they are getting rare it may be because they are being discontinued, so it might be a good idea to snag them up as soon as possible.
