Finished sorting/date checking a $50 cent bag the other day (work on cents when no dimes avail to be rim check). Found 23-Wheaties as (2-30's {1938-p, 1939-d}13-40's, 8-50's), a goodly quantity of 2017-P finally, 9-2009's, and 12-15% coppers). I'm still hoarding coppers, just might develope into a copper shortage & demand, never know. I think of it as a "poor man's precious metal" investment, just like my silver stack.

Sounds about average on the Wheats. So 2009's were 12-15% copper? News to me... What percent/how much copper did you get from $50 bag? I may start sorting again. Dumping off the pennies was always the biggest pain and banks got tired of giving boxes of pennies to a non-business owner but where there is a will there is a way. Nice haul.

now go back & find the errors. Canada before 97 are 98% copper---

only takes 1 CUD to pay for the bag, then the DD's, O/C's, clashes, LAMS, greasers :dontknow:

I save coppers too, doesn't take much time to check dates - I save 1981 and below. Seems there were some coppers produced in 1982, but I don't mess with them.

There's nothing whatsoever to lose doing this, and always the dream of maybe someday.

Ive been picking out the pre 82 solid coppers for years now. Got plenty o sacks of em. They are worth three times their face value in copper weight!

You read it wrong. He list how many 2009's he found, then total percentage of total copper in the bag.
