Well it is February and 63 degrees in Kansas. Can you believe this? I went to an old abandon house today. In less than an hour I found my first pocket spill of 2012. Wow what a nice coin spill. I then stopped hunting so a friend that is just starting detecting can hunt the place also. I don?t think it has ever been hunted. I want him to experience it. My pictures are terrible. I have macro but I can?t get it to work.
Well here is what happened. I got a weird signal that changed over each pass including the tone. Yet the tone was so close to being good so I dug. The first coin was a standing liberty quarter 8 inches down. No date but three stars under eagle. I believe that is a 1917 date. Needless to say I was happy and covered my hole. I then checked the area again. This time I got a better nickel signal this time. I dug the hole back out. Yea I know I should of checked first before covering. In the dirt is a no date Buffalo. I then checked the spot again another signal and I found a Mercury dime 1945. Didn?t find anything with the pinpointer, so I covered up the hole. Why I swung the detector again I don?t know but I got a weak signal deep. So I dug the stupid hole out again! About an inch deeper out comes a penny. OH not just a penny an Indian 1897.
Hope you enjoy.
I know it doesn't look like it but it has 3 stars.
