Those are the ones I have and am going on year three with them. They did good at keeping me dry and warm even when I had to break through skim ice to hunt the lakes. Oh and $85 isn't much for waders if you price them.

MAKE SURE YOU USE THE SAFETY BELT!!! Chest waders can be deadly once they fill with water! I waded many streams while fly fishing and took my fair share of dunks! So glad I had my belt on!

What is a safety belt? Never heard of one for waders

Just a tight belt around the waist/chest to slow water intrusion IF you were to fall in or step in over your head.

Hodgeman
Dicks sporting goods
get the heavy insulated
get with traction on the boots
$90
Neoprene so it fits snug to the body
Get one size larger than normal so you can have thermals on and a couple pairs of heavy winter socks
I like the ones that have a pouch on the chest for target storage

I wear a size 9 boot, should I go for a size 10 then?

Holly cow, $200-$300. Don't think I could justify that much with the wife, she is whining about me wanted to spend $85.00 at Walmart

A local kid in my area, who was an athlete and avid swimmer, drowned after falling out of his jon boat while wearing waders. He had just dropped his partner off at a duck blind. They can be very dangerous especially if your by yourself.

Yes, Try them on first. Make sure you have enough room for putting on extra thermals and socks.
I originally got a pair and they were perfect (without the extra layers) but when I put the extra layers of clothing on, they were too snug.
Feet will hurt after an hour or two and you can't move around very good.

You can take them back if they don't fit right, just try them on at home with all the clothes on. (but don't use them until they are sized right)

It is worth the time to get them fitted right.

It's so cold in NY winter that sometimes I wear two hooded sweatshirts under my waders. When the wind whips hard I throw the hoods up.

I agree with SnT, One thing about waders, they last for about 3 years then start to leak if you use them alot.

I have two sets ..one hodgemans with the boots, I like them but they are 200 grams of thinsulation and can get heavy after walking a few miles. And a set of LL Beans and these are stocking foot which I like better because of the weight and being flexible. Both sets are wadelites made of thin material which I can wear in the summer or dress heavy for winter. One little trick I have used over the years is to wrap my feet in plastic before going out for a hunt, this makes getting in and out of these much easier. One of my hunting partners kills himself getting in and out of the neoprenes, he seen me wraping my feet, now he uses walmart plastic bags, he zips in and out like regular cloths.
