That is a interesting piece Steve, It could be a preform they used as it is, or something they were working down into a tool of some sort I agree it look's like some sort of chopper. Interesting piece I'd keep them until maybe you can figure out their use. It does not look like waste material though.

I would say chopper as well,a pretty wide area.(wood,roots,haunches,bone...etc..)If they took the time to make it,I would keep it....Great piece buddy

The more that I look at it,the more chopper I see....The way that edge is all stacked up just screams it..imo

I agree Frank choppers are great,we don't find too many here in my part of the state. We find more scrapers here.
