My regular field hunting sites were all flooded out, so had to hunt elsewhere. Had not detected the church yard yet this year. So decided to give it a try. The first item was some sort of pin, after cleaning the pin at home later. It became apparent the pin was given for donating 1 gallon of blood. That sure sounds like a lots to me! Next signal dug read at nickel level. I was surprised to see the shining steel 7 inches down, evidently the nickel signal was from a copper or brass pin left from the handle which was completely gone. Later a 1923 buffalo nickel turned up also, always like finding those. Not too bad a hunt considering how many times this church yard has been pounded.
