FOUND THESE 2 BUTTONS IN A FIELD HERE IN SJ. CAN ANYONE HELP TO ID THE C BUTTON. LOOKS LIKE MAYBE 2 CROSSED SWORDS IN CENTER OF C. THE C IS LIKE BOX SHAPE. MADE BY WANAMAKER & BROWN. THANKS

Interesting buttons. Sorry I can't help with the ID. I'm sure you'll get some input from some of the others here on the forum.I did see a dept. store WANAMAKER & BROWN on a google search. It was in Philly (1861-18..?)
