Me and my Bro got out right before Christmas for a couple days and revisited a CW Camp that We have done pretty good at earlier in the Year. The finds were scattered but still was a pretty good day.
We recovered quite abit of lead, a bottom part to a musket butt plate, a tompion, musket nose cap, part of a lockplate, pinfire casing, bale seals, part of a spur.
Hoping to get back out there soon if the mud ever goes away.

Whoa, thats an excellent variety of CW artifacts. That pinfire casing has to be pretty darn rare.

THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT , THE OLE CW .

You guys did really good.everything always seems scattered around here.nice stuff!

Thanks Everyone, We have pounded the main body of the camp and now hitting the edges, most of the gun parts were in one area, so hopefully our next visit will produce other parts and more of the pinfire cartridges. The Enfield nose cap is the 5th one we have found so far on this site.

We presented a display case full of Relics to the Landowner for Christmas and they were very pleased to have a display of our American History that was recovered from their Farm. Hope Everyone has a Safe and Great New Year, Bill

Great finds! Love the Enfield nosecap and the tompion!

Great stuff man. Weird to find FIVE nose caps. Wonder what's up with that??
