I would have to say that my latest find is my alltime favorite. I love artillery but this takes it for me.
W8. Center Hammer Boot Pistol- This center hammer percussion single shot pocket pistol was used by US & CS troops during the Civil War. It is 6” long overall with a 3” half octagon half round barrel that ends in a plain muzzle while the bore is about 31 caliber. The hammer holds at half and full cock. [/size]

Yeah, that little shooter rocks!! Coolest thing I have seen dug in a while. Where did it show up on your screen? Upper left or conductive and to the right? Great job on the clean up. You will have to tell me how you did it next time I see you at the gym. I found a nice stirrup a couple weeks ago that a buddy of mine is cleaning up for me, but I know it is about time for me to learn how to do it myself. Still can't believe how well that pistol turned out. Great job all the way around!!
