I'm orginally from Sale Creek, Tennessee which is in northern Hamilton County above Chattanooga. My father did a lot of MD when he was alive and he found several mini balls in an area of Sale Creek close to Hodgetown Branch which is also called Holden Branch. He said from what he knew there was a Union encampment there and they were there long enough to install a metal sewer or drainage pipe into the branch from their camp. The metal pipe is still visible today. Anyone have any references to this? I would appreciate a reply if you do. Regards, Chris Hyder.

I typed in Sale Creek and it gave me 55 results. I didn't read much but it does talk about a camp on Sale Creek.

Also search Google and other sites for Sale Creek and other landmarks in your area. You might find out alot of stuff that will lead you to some really nice places.

Good luck!
