Civil War finds

A friend and mine went to my favorite park this morning in the pouring rain.. but it was still fun, I found some current day coins, and a Civil War Saddle Rosette, which originally I thought was just junk till I got all the mud & muck cleaned off.. also found this tiny brass/copper star..anyone seen one before? The rosette & star were found in the same general area...

Nice finds. But... your rosette is off of a hand saw. I think they are still put
on hand saws today. I've found a few of them. The stars are cool!
