Civil War Forts Texas

I started hunting at Virginia Point Texas back in the late 60's, it has always produst a few buttens and a lot of bottles. As many of you know a lot of my files and research was stolen by a ex hunting buddy about 10 years ago,and I am tring to rebuild my files. The only way to get there is by boat so is not a fast afternoon trip. There was 3 Confederate forts, right on the shore line, also number's home sites inland.
I am looking for anyone else who has hunt there and is willing to share any info they have.
