Everybody wants to be a pirate.

Well, why not?! There’s sea, and sails, and treasure. I think you won’t be able to resist to sail the open seas, search for treasure, and much more. It was a great experience for a kid, because it was a bunch of kids searching the coins in water slides, so looking back on it, it was the fondest experience of my childhood. Always got the same question, what was your best find? it's one about to make now.:laughing7:
Thank you for take a look and reading and following.

Oh, I see. You found silver and cleaned it. And I was just hoping to learn the best way to clean. I had an old two part rag that cleaned and then polished, but I lost it...

Before start to clean, put the silver in low fire few seconds. The fire burn the oxidation metal. Put the water on this I dont know its name we use it to clean the dishes.:dontknow:
When you finish, you start polishing:laughing7:

Man...

I think there is only one step you left out... Sand paper.
heh

Listen... not to "put you down"... but to help...
A little "constructive criticism" so to speak...

FIRST... put those items you used back where ya got em.
You could not be using a more destructive method to cleaning silver and the things you find.

Not only that... you just took some weight away with it.

Ok... enough criticism... now for the help...

Go to Wal Mart or Publix... or wherever... and buy the following two things.
#1. Tarnex.
#2. Rubber dish gloves.

You will also need 2 othwer things,...
#3. Glass jar with a plastic lid... (if plastic lid jar cannot be found use a reualar metal lid that seals good). Ps. Plastic will last is all.
#4. An old medium sized towel.

Optional... jewelers cloth.

FIRST... Jar can be smaller... pickle relish sized jar is ideal or slightly smaller...
Fill the jar with 2 inches roughly of Tarnex...
Place jewelry into the jar and close lid...
Firmly hold jar over the sink wearing your gloves and swish the items around and around in opposite directions...
Count in your head to 20...
Place jar in sink and open ... and use fingers to get the silver items out... trying to keep ALL Tarnex IN... turn on HOT water...
While wearing gloves hold the silver in your hand but do not rinse / let the water push the items out of your hands...
Using a drain net during this is recommended...
Rinse thoroughly and shake in water to remove any residual Tarnex from cracks.

After rinsed... let drip off in sink for a sec... then place on towel...
USe corner of towel to "buff" the "white" to sparkle.

Repeat as necessary.

PS> Control the Tarnex... Place lid tightly back onto jar ... rinse the jar... and dry... then place under sink away from children.

I just re read what I wrote... heh

Hope you understood the basics... the stuff runs about 5 dollars a bottle.. and will last a year of mega silver.
If you have large items you can use a paper towel dipped in it WEARING gloves and just rub it on ... it will instantly start to remove all tarnish...
When finished... rinse well.

Just be mindful of Tarnex...
I used without gloves for well over 20 years only to find out later it has stuff in it that is not that great for you.

The jar is the key to "reusing it"... eventually you will need to add / top off / refresh it...
When it seems to no longer be working... dump and refill with new.
