Today I decided to clean the car out and found an interesting penny. At first I thought it was a 1934 penny but after cleaning it up found out that it's an 1984 penny made of something beside copper. Maybe aluminum or something. But it also has holes in it as if it exploded in spots. Also found an 1980 error penny thats very different and unique. Beautiful it is. Would love to show pics if anyone's interested.

1984 pennies were made from zinc. They disintegrate fairly quickly in the ground. Maybe that one got some coke or something on it and eroded in your car.
