So before I head off to training and the next big storm moves in; my son and I ran out to the desert for the day with our dogs. It wasn't too long after finding the usual junk in the ground before he yells out "coin on top of the ground". I walk over and sure as heck he scored first for the day. He picks it up and thinks as did I it was a penny. Then he tells me it has a reeded edge. No penny but his first Barber Dime. Kinda rough but still had some great detail. 1902-S isn't too bad for being out in the desert in the middle of nowhere. This was all we found for coins. The one photo of the misc items we find is just a fraction of the junk we bring home. Of course the wife complains about the pound of dirt/sand in our pockets that makes its way into the washing machine as well.... A few arrowheads in the area means another trip back might be needed.
