When the USFS closes an area to puublic use, does this put the area off limits to prosepcting, locating a claim and mining?

Then you can talk with the local office to get a key for your legitimate use...in most cases.

I will have to dig up the information the USFS employee gave me the other day, as I think I know what area you're talking about. He did mention he can fine people $5,000 for being in the burn area.
