Went it out yesterday with my buddy and found very little compared to him. Still learning the AT Gold and still no coins with it. If any one has any tips i would greatly appreciate it. Missing my T2 es ltd! The coins in this pick and the pin were fond on top. I think i do better with my eyes then with this machine!

Great saves !!
The coin is a Mexican (Mexico City mint) 5 centavos minted in 1940; composed of copper-nickel.
The type was minted between 1836 to 1942, excluding '39 and '41.
The mintage on yours was 22.8 million.
Don.....

Thanks Don, I have found a lot of Mexican coins in this area dating from 1915 to 1940. My buddy (car91rs) has also found a bunch with some being actual silver. Learning the AT gold is frustrating. Taking it it to an old ghost town in New Mexico this weekend, maybe who knows maybe I'll have some luck with it. I do have to mention that the area I've been using is a heavy iron trash site which dates to the early 1920's (dumpsite.) I've been using the sniper coil with it at he moment, but I'll be switching to the 5x8 coil when hitting the ghost town this weekend.

These are some of the goodies found in this site in the past 6 months.

I don't know much about the AT Gold, just the AT Pro so I would be steering you wrong. Good finds nonetheless. I think that you will eventually get into some REALLY nice finds.

Thanks pointman, check out my other post found some nice history with the 5x8 coil.

I know of at least one coast artillery company from Maryland that was shipped out there in 015-016 to chase Pancho Villa.
