They had boat races along the beach on Sunday, from the pier to the Hilton. I haven't seen this many people on the beach in awhile.

Even if you had dozens of detectorists out there every day, you still wouldn't cover half the beach. Can't tell you how many times I've been told "that beach's been cleaned out" and I go there to find out that was far from the truth.

We had a lot of rain this weekend, so that will drive the targets even deeper into the sand.

One thing's for sure, it's now loaded with bottle caps and pull tabs again!
