??? ???..........Well it is like this now i don't use them any more for a rep. from one of the detector Co.told me the way coils are made now you do not need them....................................And i saw in some on TN here that a lot of detector users do not use them now for no matter how good they fit...........They will still get dirt or sand between the coil and cover and give false signals or cause your detector to act up............................................==Jim==

Never used one. I think the coils are built pretty well. I've bumped a few rocks and roots from time to time and haven't incurred any damage.

beaverdigger,

Over time any coil will get nicks and scratches.
Over a long time...............................

It is no problem keeping the cover clean and
clear of sand and such.

It' s all a part of keeping your equipment in
working order.

I always use one.

have a good un.......
