At the end of a peroxide cleaning the coin looks pretty dried out (copper). I read that I can add a thin coat of vaseline. My question is, do I wash the vaseline off before storing the coin? Any input would be great thank you!
I'll just rub the coin between my thumb and finger after peroxide. The oils on my skin will bring out the details. Doesn't work well on everything and you have to rub for a while. Also, it's best not to clean the coin by running it under water before hand or after. You actually want the coin to look dry and dirty after peroxide and rub the details in with your fingers if that makes sense.
