Coin Conversion curiosity

Found this in the Coinversion machine at Publix. I'm sure this has no value, but wondered if anyone might recognize what it is, Little studs on the back could have been position holders or maybe rivets,

Publix uses a couple of variations of the Coin Conversion machines.

The front of the Jubilee Medal of Saint Benedict is stamped with a cross on which is superimposed the letters CSSML on the upright beam and NDSMD in the cross beam.
