I also found this thing at the in laws. I had put it in my back pocket and forgot about it. When I went into the What is it forum to look for the things that resemble the unknown in the top right of my pic in the 2 silver dimes post I remembered about it.? ::)

I thought it might be a washer or something. Washed it off just now and it has weird looking designs around the square hole in the middle of it. Maybe Chinese or Japanese?

Thanks bigjer. Its probally on that page..........mine is just too worn(for my eyes anyway) to make a good comparison to ID it to one of those.

Ive soaked it and used a toothbrush on it. The darker stuff around the edge you can "pop" off with your fingernail. I figured the red clay that it came out of is why it looks the way it does.
