Whatever happened to the fisher coinstrike? ???

It is just an OK machine a far as I'm concerned. (I have one) The CZ series of machines were much better as proformers my opinion. I guess it's the old Los Banos Calif. manufacturing and engineering verses the new Fisher/Bounty Hunter Texas merger? The Coinstrike display is much like a souped up Bounty Hunter. It's great for tot lots and beach hunting. Does not do well in our highly mineralized soils in the San Francisco parks.

I had one for a short time but didn't like the balance (or lack of it). I'm tall and had to extend the search rod way out so maybe that's why. It seemed so heavy and bulky to me. But all those old Fisher machines got great depth once understood.
