Around 2 pm I decided to get the dogs out along the creek. It was still in the teens, but the sky was clear blue and the sun even gave my face a bit of a tan. Coming back my little 8 pound gopher hole hunt'n dogs paws got so packed with snow and ice I had to bite the chunks out between her toes with me teeth and carry her back, because she just gives up and quits walking. I can't just leave her out there as coyote treats... I wonder if those little boots I see they sell would work??, because she'll be very sad & upset if just me and the big dog head out without her on walks. :(

Yes those little doggie boots do work, my sister-in-law bought some for her poodle and they work great, and to it is fun to watch them walk in them when you first put them on.

I may give those a try. It's no fun packing her around under my arm.
