Got another day out beach hunting, New Castle NH,
First time checking an old beachside path,
I'm still a newbie, so anytime I pluck a coin it sets my heart racing..
2 hours in the cold wind, I end up with 2 unidentified medallions,
a 1939D quarter, green penny, iron stirrup, and an 8 lb piece of copper pipe for my scrap collection, awesome day for me,
Wishing the same for You All, SHW
Posting medallions on 'whatsit'
BTW, I found out that pre 1982 pennies are worth more than 2 cents scrap value !!

Thanks for the check Willy,
pulled out the 'finds' box to check, looks like a 1939.
Best to you, SHW.

New Castle huh ? One of my dreams is to have permission to hunt Fort Constitution. Of course that will never happen. Do I know you from NH Bob's forum under a different name ? Have a great day

The definitive way to tell if it's a '39 or '89 is the location of the mint mark. If it's on the back, BAM, you got yourself some silver... on the front, 1989 and clad.
