I’m always told you need warm nights, 50s or higher, to get these.
These were after a night that hit 38 degrees F. That’s 10 little treasures that I didn’t expect.👍🏼

I have had several spots where I have found mushrooms for years. They were always within a couple of feet from previous finds. Last year and this year, I see absolutely no evidence of them being around. If somebody picked them, I would see where they were cut. Always around the crab apple trees. I sure do miss them. Great score!

Nice finds! Just be sure you cook 'em well done...seems people have been dying over eating undercooked morel's.

I like eating mushrooms, but, not at that price! What is so special about these mushrooms?

Got a lot of morels in our area. I used to hunt them, but old age and less willingness to go now that "old age" is setting in!

What do they taste like? Are they firm or turn to slimy mush when cooked?
Depends on how long you cook them, they are never slimy mush, somewhat like cooked firm green beans. They have a flavor of their own. If you like them you really like them, if you don't then you don't.
