Earthworks and I were up at first light this morning to hit a new colonial site. We only had about 2.5 hours. I got this 1887 really nice Indian -- until I decapitated it, ouch, my bad. Then got this nice looks like colonial era buckle,,,it's curved (convex) so could be a shoe buckle. About the length of a thumb. Any ideas? Lots of ground yet to cover on this new site. Earthworks had a nice find too, he will be posting. Bergie.

Looks like white eyes tried to lynch your Indian! Good start, keep posting. I have a feeling you're going to do well at that site. Wish there were some really old sites in my neck-o-tha' woods. Monty

Too bad about the scratch. I do it on occasion as well. That buckle is interesting! HH, Mike
