Not sure about the mystery piece, but you're right on the coins. Hibernia is 1766 or 69.

no doubt about that field coop , Colonial , :cool: the mystery figuriney looks like a major portion of a broken 18 th century watch winder .8-)

Could that be a decorative clapper pea for a bell? It reminds me more of a scallop shell than a human figure. HH
Broken Knee I juess my point being if you hang it by the ring the figure would be upside down?

I agree with the shell type design, maybe a sword belt hanger/part of. Because it needs 2 more identical loops & the 3 hooks on the scabbard to hold it.

I agree, it was made to hang upside down and could very well have been a fancy clapper pea for a bell.

Dont think its a clapper because its to lite i tested in a few bells and there was little sound made. I can see a face pretty clearly so Im pretty sure its a women. Thanks for the help.
